1)Pendragon - The Shadow (The Masquerade Overture)
2)Pendragon - Paintbox (The Masquerade Overture. Album che non trovo affatto il capolavoro del gruppo, ma che con Guardian of my soul, che per la limitazione dei due brani non posso inserire, costituisce un terzetto di pezzi davvero eccellente).
3)Steve Hackett - Deja vu (Genesis Revisited. Penso che ci possa stare, visto che non era mai stata pubblicata prima. Se non va bene cambio)
4)Arena - Sirens (Pride. La prima parte soprattutto è favolosa, poi forse la tira un po' troppo per le lunghe, ma per me un grande pezzo).
5)Enchant - Pure (Wounded)
6)Camel - Watching the Bobbins (Harbour of tears)

Sì, il disco dei Pendragon non è un capolavoro, ma ci sono gran bei brani (i tre da te citati). [:)]

arena e spock's beard si confermano, i pendragon esplodono, esordiscono i due ottimi gruppi polacchi abraxas e quidam; un album abbastanza scadente, come il precedente aria, per gli asia in formazione rimaneggiata; non originalisssimi e ruffiani gli shadowland, ma ascoltabili.

Difficilissimo stilare una classifica; trovo strano considerare "Il fiume" un'unico brano ma visto che è stato adottato questo criterio mi adeguo. E' l'anno dell'ultima opera di Fabrizio De André e lo onoro citando due suoi brani, anche se non so quanto possano essere considerati prog [:-|]

Guardian Of My Soul - Pendragon - (The Masquerade Ouverture)
Il disco sono sovente portato a ritenerlo come il loro migliore e in ogni caso Guardian Of My Soul rimane uno dei gioielli incastonati nella loro discografia

Send Home The Slates - Camel - (Harbour Of Tears)
Disco di tristezza sconfinata e proprio per questo, forse, così affascinante e questa canzone mi pare esserne la migliore rappresentazione

Nurses Whispering Verses - Cardiacs - (Sing To God)
Eterno dilemma: quanto erano prog i Cardiacs?
Chissà forse furono davvero l'unico spartiacque possibile tra punk e progressive ma non so dire quanto sia importante davanti ad un pezzo magnifico come questo

Sirens - Arena - (Pride)
Il disco non era d'impatto formidabile come quello d'esordio ma Sirens era una signora suite solo forse un pò passata nelle retrovie con lo scorrere del tempo e forse anche immeritatamente

1 St. Of May - Landberk - (Indian Summer)
La triade svedese dei primi anni 90 Anglagard, Anekdoten, Landberk fu un qualcosa di siderale bellezza dove melodia e sperimentazione riuscivano magicamente a coniugarsi e l'omaggio ai maestri Genesis e King Crimson era sempre sincero e giammai di maniera...un pugno di dischi assolutamente obbligatori e Indian Summer era uno di questi

Choc Bym - Quidam - (Quidam)
Titolo sostanzialmente impronunciabile ma canzone meravigliosa, cantante che si lancia in gorgheggi che rasentano i livelli di The Great Gig In The Sky, chitarre che sprigionano pathos in quantità industriale, disco che forse meriterebbe la doppia menzione ma anche questa è annata assai pregna

In Silent Age - Versus X - (Disturbance)
Disco consigliatissimo per chi ama il pianoforte, a tratti certamente un minimo di stanchezza può affiorare nell'ascolto ma alcuni passaggi, specie in questo brano, sono di quelli che non si dimenticano...certo chi predilige il cantato farebbe forse cosa giusta a tenersi lontano da Disturbance[:)]

The Judas Kiss - Flower Kings - (Retropolis)
Ancora erano di là da venire quelle prolissità che a volte me li hanno resi insopportabili, a parer mio una delle loro opere migliori

No Place To Hide - High Wheel - (There)
Alfieri del prog sinfonico tedesco, non ascolto il disco da un bel pezzo ma questa me la ricordo come una tra le cose più ispirate

Mephisto Bridge - Shadowland - (Mad As A Hatter)
Mi fa sempre un gran piacere menzionarli anche se magari in quest'annata ci sono cose migliori purtuttavia nella musica spesso e volentieri si tende ad essere faziosi nelle proprie considerazioni
