decido di escludere from genesis e CAS, perche' sarebbe troppo facile.e poi mi sanno poco di genesis.

aggiungerei anche one mans fool, un brano doppiamente brutto perchè inutilmente lungo

A me invece One man's fool è sempre sembrato un barlume di prog in un mare di banalità.
Se non altro è l'unico brano di CAS che cambia varie volte, che comincia in un modo e finisce in un altro, che parte in sordina e poi cresce via via.

Insomma io in Cas ci trovo molto di peggio.

Poi è ovvio che paragonato a quanto viene prima non è tutto sto granchè.

La triade Land of Confusion, In Too Deep, Anything She Does invece è favolosa[:-D][:-D]

Un altra è Illegal Alien, Taking It All Too Hard, Just a Job to Do...

Di triadi letali ne avevano fatte anche prima insomma[:D]

Se non altro (per me) Way of the world è abbastanza decente rispetto alle altre due di WCD (ma vedo che è un brano piuttosto bistrattato), se non altro vicino alla sufficienza.

o Thom ( per me) land of Confusion e ( soprattutto) le armonie di Taking it all too hard sparigliano alla grande le tue triadi...che ce voi fa? e poi, sempre a mio parere, in quel pop non c'è quel senso di stantìo che attanaglia tutto Wcd... [;)]

Get'em Out By Friday, The Chamber of 32 Doors, Pacidy, Let Us Now Make Love, se non sono capolavori, poco ci manca.
Ma è valido anche The Mystery Of The Flannan Isle Lighthouse, un pezzo frizzante e pieno di trovate, probabilmente il primo in assoluto ( come data di registrazione ), in cui si possono captare i veri Genesis degli anni 70.

Prima spiegaci tu perchè ai messo al 2° 'Horizons'[:D][;)]

Quei pochi minuti di Horizons, suonati da Hackett, sono splendidi, assolutamente.
Il fatto è che stento a considerarlo un brano dei Genesis, perchè nessun'altro del gruppo vi suona. Solo questo.[;)]

[:-|][:-I]....come dire che 'Yesterday' non è dei Beatles???[:-I][:-I]

Eh sì....mi hai fregato![:D] E' vero, ha cantato e suonato praticamente solo Paul McCartney, se non sbaglio[:-I]

Horizons, comunque, si sposa perfettamente col tipo di musica che i Genesis (allora) esprimevano[:)]

Ma è valido anche The Mystery Of The Flannan Isle Lighthouse, un pezzo frizzante e pieno di trovate, probabilmente il primo in assoluto ( come data di registrazione ), in cui si possono captare i veri Genesis degli anni 70.

semplicemente ho ho messo in classifica i pezzi che mi danno fastidio all'ascolto e non i più brutti, a volte coincidono ma a volte no.
i primi pezzi genesis saranno affettivamente cari ma sono a volte indigesti.
harold the barrel e get'm out mi irritano. volevo mettere anche counting, ma la versione live ha una chitarra di hackett bella negli effetti e mi fa sorridere quando va su è giù di un'ottava.

E'vero, Sid, sono d'accordo con te.
Anche per me ci sono dei pezzi, oggettivamente molto belli, ma che, per motivi che non riesco a spiegare bene, mi risultano indigesti: Carpet Crawlers e Afterglow, per esempio[;)]

Sulla questione di Horizons possiamo dire che se avessero fatto uno sforzo e fatta diventare Suppers di 25' allora non varrebbe più la considerazione di Betelgeuse... del resto Horizons la consideriamo tutti la pre-Supper's... su Seconds out mi sento quasi orfano di qualcosa...

Classifiche non ne faccio perchè mi inkasinerei e 38 secondi dopo averla postata già la cambierei... però a me If that's what you need

e' una versione live di the waiting room, uscita in origine come b-side.
