The Albums from 1970 - 1974 + Bonus Double-Disc

General Information:


The third batch of releases will be released in winter 2007 / 2008
The third batch contains the five studio-albums from 1970 - 1974
- Trespass
- Nursery Cryme
- Foxtrot
- Selling England By The Pound
- The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

All albums have been remixed by Nick Davis on the basis of the old multitracks. This applies also to the Stereo Mixes. Some of the old album tracks were only recorded on 8 or 16 track tapes, so the surround experience is limited.

In Europe, South-America and Asia, Hybrid-SACD / DVD Double-Discs will be releases, in Noth America, CD / DVD Doublediscs will be released. It's yet unknown whether or not these will be Digipaks or Jewel Cases.
A bonus double disc will also be released, containing Non-Album tracks of that period. This bonus double-disc will only be available as part of the box-set, that also includes the four studio albums.

Genesis 1970-1974 Boxset

The Boxset contains the albums Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
In addition, it will contain a bonus SACD / DVD (North-America: CD / DVD) with the Non-Album Tracks:
- Twilight Alehouse
- Happy The Man
According to Nick Davis, The Jackson Tape will be released on the Bonus SACD. This would include the tracks
- Provocation
- Frustration
- Manipulation
- Resignation
Other extras are not planned at this moment.
The SACDs each contain these audio-tracks:
- CD Stereo (playable on every CD-Player)
- SACD Stereo (only playable when a SACD-Player is available))
- SACD 5.1 Surround (only playable when both a 5.1 speaker home cinema system and a SACD Player are available
There are no SACDs released in North America, the first disc is a standart CD
The DVDs each contain the whole album mixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 and 96kHz / 24bit dts, as well as video bonus-material
The Boxset also contains a Booklet
The Artwork is unknown at this point

Dieci anni dopo l'altro, ma fa niente.
Praticamente però i "contenuti extra", almeno a questo punto, sono i Jackson Tapes. E basta.
Va be' che pagherei 90 euri solo per quei brani.
Per ciascuno.
E son genovese.

In realtà quasi tutto è ancora da decidere. Intanto la pubblicazione scivola ancora: inverno 2008/09 (il 2007/08 citato nel forum ufficiale e riportato da Rael Matrix è ovviamente finito già da un giorno). Significa non prima del 2009. Poco da fare: quando c'è Gabriel di mezzo i tempi diventano biblici... [:-j]

Novanta euro spesi più che bene direi[:D]...solo una pecca...

Avevo dato anche io un'occhiata,mesi fa,al sito da te citato,Matrix.
Non mi sembra cambiato nulla.
I contenuti dei DVD sono tutti da confermare,esattamente,come,diciamo 1 anno fa.
Magari costasse 90 Euro !!!
Io che lo acquisto in negozio,penso mi verra' a costare sui 150.
Sarebbe bello,dato,appunto,i tempi di realizzazione biblici,che cominciassero ad inserire i sottotitoli ai vari making of.[:-j]

... io ci metterei anche "The Movement". Qualcuno sostiene che sia una leggenda, ma quando le interviste le fece Armando Gallo alla fine degli anni '70 (o comunque dopo la metà) ed i ricordi erano freschi... LORO parlarono di questo brano che era arrivato a durare quasi 45 minuti. Chi non ci crede può andare a rileggersi "La loro leggenda" di A.G. (prossimamente vi comunico anche la pagina).
E' sicuramente anche vero che poi diverse parti furono riutilizzate, ma vi farebbe schifo sentire la suite di origine? Purtroppo forse non è stata mai registrata [:.-(][:.-(][:.-(]

Per chi e' un po' piu' giovane,non c'e' possibilita' di vedere ristampate le varie "Bibbie" di Armando Gallo ? [:-I]

C'era un topic pre-attacco-turchetto-di-merda in cui qualcuno parlava di copie (credo poche) ancora in possesso di Armando Gallo. Come contattarlo però non saprei. In quanto alle ristampe ne ha fatta una di "I Know What I Like" / "La loro leggenda" in tempi, non dico recenti, ma neanche lontanissimi. Dovrebbe farsi avanti chi aveva fornito notizie sul libro di Armando Gallo nel vecchio topic.
Per quanto riguarda però la prima edizione "The Evolution of a Rock Band" ed il libro (con tantissime foto e poco testo) "From One Fan to Another" credo non ci siano speranze di poterli ancora reperire in giro. Se dovessi trovarli poi, credo che ti chiederebbero una fortuna. In ogni caso in bocca a lupo! Il mio consiglio è di fare una ricerca tramite Internet su Armando Gallo.

Come avevo gia' detto in un precedente topic cancellato poi dal fumatore turco,riguardante sempre il 3zo boxset,Dusk demo 1969,contenuta nel 4to cd dell'archive 1967-75,si chiamava Family !

Nel boxset dei miei sogni vorrei che ci fossero :

Wooden Mask
La versione di 19 minuti di The knife ( esiste no? )
Una versione in studio di The Light ( ma ho dei dubbi che esista! )
La prima versione di Vision Of Angels registrata nel 68
e poi.....
