ehm ... non so suonare se non quattro accordi in croce ...

ancora non ho tastiera midi, cmq occorre una midi-keyboard (o master-keyboard che dir si voglia) collegata via USB ed ovviamente occorre cacciare il jack del mic nell'in della scheda audio (io ho un portatile ...).

Ma che covo di professionisti delle otto ... ehm ... sette note !!! [:D][:D][:D][:D]

perchè se suono sulla tastiera il vst è come se non ricevesse nessun segnale

Sempre parlando di ottimi rapporti qualità/prezzo, conoscerete sicuramente il Paax:

un campionatore vst semplice ma funzionale e ben organizzato che carica e suona files wav.
La versione 2 è freeware ma non ha il time stretching, così se cambio il pitch di un suono, cambia anche la durata (note + alte, sample + corto...orrore).
La versione 3 invece è completa ed è abbastanza economica.
Ah...un piccolo difetto: non ha patches[:-I], bisogna costruirsele.

suono "ad orecchio" da anni ma x gli studi prima ed il lavoro ora, nonchè x altre circostanze (2 figghiuole... [8:-x][8:-x][8:-x]) non posso "esercitarmi" x cui resto una schiappa (anche se padroneggiavo divinamente i tracker x amiga e pc dove non occorreva suonare live ma programmare tutte le linee melodiche [;)] (ho rifatto in the cage che è venuto 'nu bijoux ...).

adoro la musica elettronica, sono fanatico dei kraftwerk e (meno) jmjarre x cui appena scoperti i vsti qualche anno addietro ne cominciai a fare incetta ...

vedendovi annaspare con plugins costosi e mediocri ho pensato bene di farvi presente tutte queste validissime alternative !!!

reaper a detta di molti è un ottimo compromesso tra livello amatoriale e semi-pro (od anche pro secondo altri) ma:

- è complicato;
-io non lo so usare [;)]
- NON è gratuito ma ha una curiosa licenza: lo puoi provare senza restrizioni di sorta ma dopo un po'dovresti acquistare una licenza altrimenti hai l'obbligo morale (...) di disinstallarlo.

Questo al contrario dei primi due permette di registrare, editare e comporre musica (ma ripeto, almeno x me è complicato - e non ho il tempo di applicarmi ...[:-j])

Se ti vuoi gettare sul pro che più pro non si può:

Steimberg Cubase, il meglio in assoluto (teteschi di cermania, quelli che hanno inventato il VST!!!) alla modica cifra di

€ 604,03 incl. VAT (sticaz**!!!)[:0][:0][:0]

ma hai uno studio di registrazione a casa [;)][;)]

Discorso linux, molto complesso:

VSTI non è uno standard compatibile con linux, ma ...

usando wine, wineasio (un casino da compilare a parte...[:(]) più vsthost e jack (x ridurre la latenza), si possono usare vari host (io ho provato vsthost e dicono anche reaper sembra funzionare ...); così la maggior parte dei plugins va (a me vanno male ma vanno ...[:-!]).

PS: se non hai i driver ASIO la latenza tra tasto premuto e suono potrebbe essere imbarazzante x cui:

o devi avere una skeda audio coi controcosi con gli asio incorporati oppure:

x le schede normali (io ho un acer aspire mezzo mezzo) basta installare questo:

che bypassa un casino e riduce le latenze (con un pc veloce, però [;)]) in modo netto !!!
molti pensano che asio4all faccia un po'schifo ma sempre meglio che acquistare costosissime schede audio esterne firewire per strimpellare a casa, no???

Oltre al bel plugsound consigliato da intermediario,

c'è questo:

E SOPRATTUTTO NON VA INSTALLATO, cosa sempre comoda ...

in ogni modo esistono pure i soundfonts x il piano e molti altri strumenti classici,
si tratta di files *.sf2 contenenti campionamenti di strumenti di solito con lo schema General Midi, alcuni sono eccezionali, free, e arrivano a pesare qualche giga (x cui occorre molta memoria ...) ma suonano benissimo,

immagina la goduria di ascoltare un file midi (es. dei genesis) con una strumentazione orchestrale invece dei ridicoli suoni midi standard micro$oft ...

si tratta di files *.sf2 contenenti campionamenti di strumenti di solito con lo schema General Midi, alcuni sono eccezionali, free, e arrivano a pesare qualche giga (x cui occorre molta memoria ...) ma suonano benissimo,

immagina la goduria di ascoltare un file midi (es. dei genesis) con una strumentazione orchestrale invece dei ridicoli suoni midi standard micro$oft ...

Bel synth originale con suoni molto particolari; gratuito come sempre !

EVOL by Michael Karstrup, made with synthedit, is not developed anymore but is still available for download. It works fine, with its 3 Osc, 5 Lfo, 3 envelopes and some added effects like 1 arpeggiator, 1 chorus/flanger, 1 reverb among other components, and it sounds sweet but fat and rather cold, a bit like Vangelis sounds... A good misappreciated polyphonic synth.

Questo NON è un synth ma un effetto VST stratosferico !!!

in pratica è in grado, in REAL TIME, di processare una sorgente audio (un suono, la voce ecc.) ed applicare degli effetti predefiniti o in modo random con risultati spesso assurdi !

Onestamente, il Keys assomiglia al Rhodes, ed il B3 all'Hammond come io somiglio a George Clooney[:D], nei preset ci sono flanger e pseudo-leslie esagerati, comunque qualche suono decoroso si può utilizzare.

Doc, volevo chiederti se ti è capitato (e se hai risolto) questo inconveniente.
Usando il vst vstwsimd, quello che emula il PPG wave 2.2, all'interno di un host (io uso Sonar) non "ricorda" l'ultimo preset che avevo salvato.
In altre parole, negli altri vst imposto un preset col suono che mi serve, salvo la song, e quando la riapro mi trovo già pronto il preset scelto. Col PPG invece ogni volta mi torna al programma 01 e prima di suonare dovrei aprire a mano il vst ed impostare il preset...

non conosco nessuno dei vst postati da docprog (anche perchè sono, al 99%, solo per Finestre),
ma quest'ultima collezione che va dall'ORGANized trio - Tonewheel organ simulation fino al Mr ray
è STUPEFACENTE, considerando che parliamo di freeware o quasi [:)]

io da quando ho scoperto l'organo in questione,
ho smesso di usare B4 [8D]

Beh con questa pagina abbiamo devastato l'industria internazionale dei VST a pagamento...e senza violare nessuna legge!
La settimana scorsa ho suonato dal vivo ed ho usato anche un paio di synt scaricati qui sopra (Esline e PPG)!

Un dubbio: il Mr.Donald, dalla grafica, mi sembra una emulazione del Leslie, ma dopo avere copiato il dll nella stessa cartella dove metto di solito i synt (uso Sonar LE) ho lanciato l'Adapter per indicizzarlo ma me lo vede come un synt mentre dovrebbe metterlo nella lista FX degli effetti...boh...

KROLAR SX-2 VSTi

Synth ispirato al synth Roland SH-2 del 1978/9.

"Features.
OSC1: sine/saw/pulse
OSC2: saw/pulse/noise
SubOsc: square (-1 oct below the settings of OSC1)
4pole LP self oscillating filter
Modulator (LFO): sine/square/S&H with rate and delay
AutoBend: begins below/above (-2/+2 octaves) key pressed and slides to that pitch
PWM: LFO/Man/Env - the slider adjust the pulse width or the amount of LFO/Env modulation (the LFO for PWM is a smooth sine with no delay)
Pitch Mod: controls amount of pitch modulation by the LFO
Tuning: OSC2 has its own tuning section, Wide and Narrow (+/-1750 cents or +/-200 cents)
the SH-2 was monophonic, Krolar SX-2 has a small red button (top right) that allows you to switch from monophonic (low note priority) to polyphonic (6 voices)

Fixes:
in gate mode, click on key release
LFO Delay not 'fading' correctly
Changes:
new 24dB LP filter
new EG's
LFO is free running
AutoBend range and time increased
OSC output increased
Mono mode, removed 'low note priority'

"I created it simply because i once owned one, and wanted it still as part of my arsenal, and now yours too.
Phat azz sounds came out of the original hardware unit, but this'll do. Highlights include a random step modulator used to modulate the oscillator, the filter, and the pulse width, and an invert switch for the envelope, which can modulate the filter, pulse width, and amp.
